This page is very much in its infancy, and has been added to the website to reflect the town during the Korean War years. So far I have a first hand account from Bill Baynes, who served in the conflict and the ship he was on was subsequently sunk, and some background info on John Snare, a Brandon man killed, the latter’s name appears on the town’s war memorial. In time this page will evolve into a stand alone website, the same as the two World Wars’ research, and will feature what was happening in the town during those years.
If you have any information about Brandon during the Korean War years (1950-53) then please let me know and I will gladly add it to this website. Thank you.
